Why this site exists

AI API pricing is fragmented, inconsistent in format, and changes frequently. Vendors publish rates in different units — tokens, characters, seconds, credits, images — which makes any two-provider comparison require mental gymnastics. Some vendors bury pricing in marketing copy. Some publish rates in a currency of their own invention (credits) without clearly stating what a credit maps to in real-world cost. A few don't publish rates at all and require you to sign up to find out.

apiledger.in exists to collect those numbers into one place, convert them to comparable units, note the date we last checked each one, and link back to the source so you can verify it yourself. The goal is not to tell you which tool to use — it's to give you the raw pricing data to make that call yourself.

How pricing data is collected

Each listing links to the public provider pricing page or API documentation used as its source. I review the named model and the displayed billing rate against that source, then record the date of that review. Where a price depends on resolution, time of day, usage tier, or a promotion, the relevant condition is included in the listing instead of being flattened into a misleading single rate.

The date beside a listing is the date its model name and displayed rate were last checked against the linked source. It is not a promise that every plan, region, usage condition, or tax was independently tested. Prices can change between reviews, and provider pages sometimes omit details; use the source link to confirm current terms before budgeting.

The site-wide date is the newest listing review, not a claim that every provider was reviewed on that day. Each row carries its own check date. Corrections, missing models, and pricing-source suggestions are welcome through the contact page.

How comparisons are made

Providers bill in different units: input and output tokens, characters, audio duration, video seconds, generated images, or subscription credits. Where the source publishes a clear conversion, we show the assumption alongside the comparison. A displayed unit price does not include unlisted costs such as retries, storage, taxes, or plan limits. Subscription prices are not directly equivalent to pay-as-you-go API rates, so compare them using the amount of usage you expect to consume.

Coverage

The list focuses on APIs and models that can be compared using public pricing information. Some vendors expose prices only after sign-in or through a hosting platform; in those cases the source and billing context are noted on the listing. A missing or unconfirmed rate should be treated as unknown, not as a free service.

Independence and editorial policy

apiledger.in has no commercial relationship with any vendor listed on the site. There are no sponsored placements, paid rankings, affiliate links, or referral commissions. Advertising displayed on the site (Google AdSense) is served by Google and is not related to or influenced by the vendors covered in the pricing data. The order tools appear in the tables is not a ranking — it reflects the order they were added to the dataset.
